Who takes Emergency Response Technician (Level 3) HAZWOPER refresher training?
HAZWOPER Level 3 first responders are personnel who take “aggressive” response actions when a hazardous substance release occurs—such as approaching the point of release plug, patch, or stop the release.
Note: This course does not satisfy field-based or practical competency HAZWOPER training requirements and does not cover job- or site-specific elements of HAZWOPER training required by 29 CFR 1910.120(q). Employers must cover these required elements in additional instruction or hands-on training.
