This course provides 24 hours of initial HAZWOPER training for
occasional site workers who are not required to complete the full 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training.
“Occasional site workers” are personnel who work on site occasional for a specific, limited task like ground water monitoring or surveying the site. These workers are also unlikely to be exposed to hazardous substances at levels above permissible thresholds.

Occasional site workers must complete 24 hours of initial HAZWOPER training and complete a minimum of one day of actual field experience under direct supervision of a trained, experienced supervisor. This course is designed to meet the 24 hours training requirement only.
